Instar to the Power of 5 · Phases to the Reveal

In•star ~ a phase between two periods of molting in the devlopment of an insect.

This particular caterpillar has 5 phases of development before it's reveal and by it's color is in it's final phase before it enters into transition. 5 phases • 5 layers revealed as it crawls it's way to the moment when it's purpose is fulfilled.

I recently arrived at my destination to begin my morning walk in the cool September air and bright sunshine with a mindset to be intentional and fully aware of every step that I took and every breath I breathed in. This was a different mindset that I have had the past few weeks as I have been using these walks as a way to diffuse stress, think (or overthink) and mentally and emotionally run away from whatever is going on in my life, pretty much in a self absorbed and melancholy state of heart and mind.

Upon awaking that morning I had finished reading the last few pages of a brand new book release "The Last Arrow" by Erwin McManus www.thelastarrow.com and to say I felt challenged and inspired is an understatement! What would transpire on the path that day proved to be worthy of not powering out the steps but letting life cross my path by taking the time to not try to figure this out alone. What usually would have been a 1 hour, focused powerwalk was a connection of God dots that filled my whole morning with intrigue and a feeling when I got back to my vehicle of... "WOW!" did that just happen? I felt the presence of God so near to me and a warmth crossed my heart to a genuine smile on my face.

While on my walk I had the privilege of seeing the beauty of this caterpillar cross my path. Finding out that it is the forerunner to the Luna Moth, I was that much more intrigued to research it's life cycle especially since a female Luna Moth had graced my back doorstep the week before. I immediatley saw the word picture God gave me through His creation in relation to layers I have crawled through while transitioning into the continual purpose and plan He is revealing in my life.

In my upcoming posts I will share my experiences in each of these phases and give greater detail of what I learned while working through some of the layers of my life.
